Zhukov Anatoly Ivanovich was born in 1956 in the city of Kamensk Uralsky, Sverdlovsk region.
Worked in p/o “Uralkvartssamotsvety” “RIF M” (1982 2000), since 1996 the restorer of the Museum of the history of stone-cutting and jewelry art.
Laureate of the competitions of stone-cutting, jewelry and cutting art. A.K. Denisov-Uralsky.
At the origins of a new period in the development of the Ural stone-cutting art was Anatoly Zhukov, a master who knows all the secrets of stone-cutting. By the way, for the first time the master got acquainted with the stone as a child, impressed by the collection of the school museum of geology and the stone-cutting workshop. For thirty years of “friendship with stone” he has fully mastered the palette of genres and directions of work with gems: slides, three-dimensional mosaics, cameos, intaglios, and round sculpture.
As art critic Valentin Skurlov writes in his research, “Anatoly Zhukov has few equals in working with rock crystal, a capricious material that requires careful treatment, but advantageous when creating a series of portrait busts, which the master sculpted more than three dozen. Anatoly Zhukov is a master of the new formation, he inherited the traditions of both Faberge and Denisov-Uralsky. He performs busts not only of people, but also of dogs.”
