Born on November 10, 1955 in the village of Zaigraevo, Republic of Buryatia. Graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Leningrad State University.
Founder and artistic director of the Creative stone-cutting workshop “Ledum”. For five years he worked in the Hermitage, for about two years as a restorer in the Amber Room. More than twenty years of experience in sculpture and graphics.
Falkin’s works were exhibited at the Louvre, presented at the 1st Biennale of French Sculpture in Paris, and exhibited at the Koller auction in Zurich. The master has repeatedly been a participant, winner and prize-winner of jewelry art competitions (“Jewellery Olympus”, “For the Glory of Faberge”, “Petersburg Jeweler”, etc.), a participant in international exhibitions in Germany, France, Japan, and the USA.
He overcame the traditional approach to ornamental stone as a material for applied arts and founded a new direction in sculpture, which he continues to develop at the present time. His characters are diverse: people, animals, birds, biblical images and fantastic creatures, plants and geometric objects, but all of them are real and conditional, have character, carry human charm, a special style, in which, of course, the personality of the sculptor is guessed “.
