Luis Alberto hereditary jeweler
Luis Alberto is a hereditary jeweler, from childhood he was fascinated by the art of stone cutting, experimented with various breeds, tools and work techniques.
Now Luis Alberto is one of the most successful and sought-after modern stone cutters. He founded the brand L’Aquart, which creates various objects of arts and crafts from precious stones.
For the jeweler, gemstones are most attractive because of their rich color, texture, and unique flaws. They are the main component of the design and give the products a special character. Materials from different parts of the world can be found in one work: rubies from Tanzania, rock crystal from Brazil, lapis lazuli from Afghanistan and opals from Ethiopia.
It takes several months to create one medium-sized work. Luis Alberto independently develops sketches, selects materials and carefully monitors the implementation of the idea.
In addition to carved sculptures, the workshop creates all kinds of luxury items: cutlery, writing utensils, accessories for cigars and alcoholic beverages, crockery, board games, furniture.
Studio Luis Alberto Quispe collaborates with many global brands. An exclusive series of amethyst fountain pens was created for DuPont, and a miniature Ruby Ferrari was sold in the UAE for $1.2 million. The last episode of Star Wars was filmed using a chessboard created in a jeweler’s workshop.
Several of the master’s works are kept in the collection of the Faberge Museum.
