Francesca Amphitheatroph explains that the Riders of the Knights collection is dedicated to important women of the Middle Ages (Jeanne d’Arc, Queen Elizabeth of England or Eleanor of Aquitaine) who changed the course of history by force of their will. These decorations convey the idea of ​​strength through chains, armor, amulets, and even swords.

Another masterpiece of the new collection is the La Reine necklace, adorned with nine aquamarines for a total of 152.83 carats and 24.22 carats of diamonds set in white gold and platinum. The simple choker shape of this necklace and additional diamonds accentuate the vibrant blue hue of aquamarines for a truly royal chic.

La Cavaliere is dedicated to spinel, a deep red with orange highlights in the depth, surrounded, in contrast, by hundreds of diamonds.

There are most of all decorative motifs, most of all references to medieval jewelry – buckles, clasps, breast chains.

The designer managed to achieve the effect of immersion in the spirit of the era thanks to knightly attributes and heraldic shields, which look unusual and very modern in jewelry. In addition, the brand’s monograms – trefoil, chevron and v-shaped motifs – are traditionally used in some pieces, making them instantly recognizable, in addition, the author maintains another Witton jewelry tradition in this collection – a game with precious stones and semi-precious stones.

Curiously, many pieces from the latest collection of Louis Vuitton are made in a more restrained color palette than the creations of almost all the jewelry houses presented at Paris Fashion Week 2019. Most of the jewelry uses one central colored stone – sapphire, spinel or emerald – surrounded by diamonds. In some pieces, emeralds are complemented by sapphires or onyx, but in general, the Riders of the Knights collection is distinguished by the absence of many color contrasts.

Perhaps the most hit jewelry of this entire collection are brooches in the form of daggers, in which strength and even some rigidity are combined with cheerful lightness.

In general, it must be said that Francesca Amphitheatroph’s debut in such a complex and capricious matter as haute joaillerie was a success. And now we can talk about her style – strict, bold, independent and strong.

Aquamarines of exceptional color associated with the Santa Maria mine are found in La Reine rings, each decorated with symbols of medieval heraldry such as Fleur de Lys, crowns and even a small dagger.

Le Royaume choker

The most impressive piece in the collection - both from a technical and aesthetic point of view - is the Le Royaume choker, a wide, full-neck necklace, inspired by the piece of knight's armor called the gorget, or plate collar, that protected the throat. The result is a necklace resembling a mesh, whose weave refers to the lifting lattice of the castle, and the lower part - to the chains of the drawbridge. At the same time, it is absolutely plastic and mobile, adheres to the neck with the ideality of not metal, but fabric. In the center is a magnificent 19.31 carat royal blue sapphire, and the lattice / grid itself is made up of approximately 1,600 diamonds.
