Ceramics Royal Dux in Art Nouveau style

The date of creation of the brand of Czech porcelain ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA is considered to be in 1853, when a factory for the production of ceramics in Duchcov was opened. In the early stages, the manufactory produced mainly terracotta, faience and majolica. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, along with traditional products, the production of porcelain began.

Alois Gampel worked for 55 years at the Duchtsov Porcelain Factory, where he came at the age of fourteen, and ended his career in 1922. Working as a full-time modeler of the company, it was he who created the most famous porcelain figurines in the Art Nouveau style. His models have a charm that always catches the eye of the viewer.
