Carlo Salomoni – Italian artist

Carlo Salomoni is an Italian artist born in Ferrara, Italy. He graduated in Medicine with a degree in General Surgery, but in 1992 he decided to leave medicine and become a professional artist.
Carlo began his career as an artist creating art objects (small sculptures and decorations for ceramic vases), some of which were exhibited in galleries in Ferrara and Bologna, Italy. He also created copies of works by famous artists of different eras and styles from 600 to 900.

He later exhibited his works in Italy, France, Switzerland and Belgium with Galeria Artsudio in Portomaggiore – Faenza – Knokka; at Galeria Il Castello in Adria in collective and individual exhibitions, as well as in televised auctions; at Prestige Art Gallery in Skokie, Chicago; on the Internet at Web Gallery Abbassolarte Edgardo Caraturo.
He has participated in the Bologna Art Fair, in Padua and Bari in Italy, in Ghent in Belgium and in Europ’Art in Geneva in Switzerland.

His paintings are mentioned in art catalogues and auctions, in national events in Italy, and are also chosen for illustrations at international medical and surgical conferences, in medical and scientific publications, for reproductions of literary texts, in poetry, fairy tales and fables.
Carlo creates drawings in oil paints, mixed media and acrylic paints on fabric, paper, clay, as well as patterns in Chinese ink, ink, colored pencils, graphite on paper.

He also makes paints and decorations for fashion accessories made of leather and clothing (shoes, belts and bags).
His paintings have their origins in metaphysics and surrealism, in artistic fantasy and magical realism; his paintings and illustrations evoke a world of dreams and atmospheres where reality and fantasy merge and collide beautifully.

Thanks to his inexhaustible creativity and imagination, he creates cycles of different masterpieces, guaranteeing the originality of each of his artistic works.
He lives in Ferrara, Italy, with his wife Angela Teresa Lopez, author of short stories, poems and novels, a source of inspiration for Carlo.
