Andrey Dareev was born in 1978 in Semipalatinsk. In 1999, he successfully completed his studies at the Novoaltaisk State Art School. He received his further education in 2006, graduating from the landscape department of the Russian Academy of Arts named after Ilya Glazunov under the guidance of Honored Professor A.P. Afonin. Since 2010, Andrey has been a member of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Union of Russian Artists. His work is regularly presented at various exhibitions. Dareev’s works are exhibited in state museums and in private collections.

Andrey Dareev is a confident continuer of the high artistic traditions of national Russian art. The artist’s multifaceted work includes genre painting and portrait, graphics and still lifes, but landscape occupies a special place in it.

In a rather diverse and coloristic picture, Andrey Dareev reflects on the problems of artistic time in space, turning to the historical past and themes of today. At the same time, the artist enlightens his close and dear people with individual canvases, paints portraits of contemporaries, and is not indifferent to social and moral issues.

Spring, painted by the artist after visiting the Solovetsky Islands, stands out from a number of genre works by A.A. Dareev by the comparison of sincere religious feeling and poetic beauty of God’s world, tangible harmony of man with nature, and the involvement of the viewer in the inner world of the character.

In his heartfelt paintings, he pays special attention to the development of the coloristic solution, sets the tasks of chiaroscuro modeling in unity with the dynamics of movement and time in space. Tirelessly and fruitfully working in the open air, the author enriches the plastic image with metaphorical meaning.
