Gulf of Naples is a painting painted by Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky in Italy, where the artist perfected his landscape painting skills. He depicted the water surface in the evening, when the wind subsides and light ripples on the surface shimmer with all shades of pearls. Two-thirds of the image is occupied by the sky, filled with golden sunset colors. It is enlivened by clouds pierced by soft light. On the left, in the foreground is a boat. She carries passengers from an anchored sailboat. Another rowing vessel is moored to it, ready to deliver those who wish to land. A mountain range is visible in the distance, triangular sails of other ships flash by.
