Biography
Having received an art education, Laurent Parcelier for a long time and successfully drew comics for a publishing house. Quite by chance, he took part in a street drawing competition, in which he won first place and gained loyal fans. In 1996, the whole world learned about him and accepted the artist’s work with a standing ovation.
The master’s technique is significantly different from other French impressionists, experts believe that the past passion for graphics and comics had an influence. Probably, these skills made Parcelier’s works unique, lively and unusual.
The artist seems to live in his own special world, where there is no bad weather, sadness and tears. Each picture is filled with light, peace, confident calmness. The artist uses bright, rich colors. There is a lot of yellow in the paintings, but they “shine” by no means because of it.
