Erwin Klein, a stone cutter from Idar-Oberstein, was one of the main carvers of animal figurines in the Parisian company Boucheron, specializing in rock crystal carving. Unfortunately, I did not find any other information about this master. But his work speaks for itself.

A pair of crested cranes made of crystal with black onyx inlays on the head, beak and tail. The cheeks are made of 18 carat yellow gold and set with diamonds, while the neck is decorated with red coral.
