Artist Christa Kieffer was born in Germany in 1949. She received her secondary education in Europe, then moved to the United States, graduated from the art school in Los Angeles. She worked for many years in large companies before deciding to become a professional artist.

Christa Kieffer lives in America, and in her paintings she paints Paris. And not the Paris of today, but the Paris of the late 19th century. Cozy streets, men in tailcoats, elegant ladies and lots of flowers… Paris-dream and expectation of a miracle.

Christa Kieffer’s Paris is an artist’s dream come true on canvas. She looks at the city streets and imagines what they could have been like more than a hundred years ago: stone bridges, houses entwined with flowers, the smell of coffee and exquisite perfume.
